.OVERVIEW...STRONG TO NEAR-GALE FORCE TRADE WINDS BETWEEN THE
MARSHALL ISLANDS AND MIDWAY ATOLL WILL CONTINUE TO GENERATE LARGE
TRADE-WIND WAVES AND SWELLS ACROSS MICRONESIA. BUILDING SEAS WILL
PRODUCE HAZARDOUS SURF ALONG EAST FACING SHORES FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL
DAYS THROUGHOUT CHUUK...POHNPEI AND KOSRAE STATES AND THE REPUBLIC
OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS.

...A HIGH SURF ADVISORY IS NOW IN EFFECT FOR EAST FACING REEFS...

HAZARDOUS SURF OF 10 TO 13 FEET ALONG EAST FACING SHORES IS EXPECTED
TO BUILD FURTHER TO BETWEEN 11 AND 14 FEET TUESDAY AND REMAIN AT
THESE LEVELS THROUGH AT LEAST WEDNESDAY. WAVE MODELS INDICATE SWELL
WILL BEGIN TO SLOWLY SUBSIDE WEDNESDAY WITH SURF FALLING BELOW
HAZARDOUS LEVELS AS EARLY AS THURSDAY OR FRIDAY.

AVOID VENTURING NEAR EXPOSED REEFS AND BEACHES...ESPECIALLY THOSE
FACING EAST AS RIP CURRENTS WILL BE LIFE THREATENING.

THESE LEVELS THROUGH AT LEAST FRIDAY.

DUE TO THE COMBINATION OF SPRING TIDES AND LARGE SURF...INUNDATION
OF AROUND 1 TO 2 FEET IS POSSIBLE AROUND TIMES OF HIGH TIDE. THE
NEXT COUPLE HIGH TIDES WILL OCCUR AT 424 PM THIS AFTERNOON AND 449
AM TUESDAY MORNING.
