BALTIMORE MD...BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD
MARSHALL AIRPORT...

THE MONTHLY AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS WELL ABOVE NORMAL. MONTHLY
PRECIPITATION WAS SLIGHTLY BELOW NORMAL.

IT WAS THE WARMEST OCTOBER SINCE 2007.

TWO DAYS HAD LOW TEMPERATURES IN THE 70S. THIS IS THE MOST IN THE
MONTH OF OCTOBER SINCE 1986.

TWO DAILY WARM LOW TEMPERATURE RECORDS WERE SET LAST MONTH:
A LOW OF 74 DEGREES ON THE 8TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 68 SET IN 1922.
A LOW OF 72 DEGREES ON THE 9TH BROKE THE RECORD OF 71 SET IN 1959.

CLIMATE RECORDS FOR THE BALTIMORE MD AREA HAVE BEEN KEPT AT
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON INTERNATIONAL THURGOOD MARSHALL AIRPORT SINCE
1950. ADDITIONAL TEMPERATURE RECORDS OBSERVED DOWNTOWN EXTEND BACK
TO JULY OF 1872. PRECIPITATION RECORDS EXTEND BACK TO JANUARY OF
1871. SNOWFALL RECORDS BEGAN IN MARCH OF 1892.
