NOVEMBER 2017 WAS ANOTHER WARMER THAN AVERAGE MONTH FOR KEY WEST.
THE MONTH ENDED WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 77.4 DEGREES
FAHRENHEIT, OR 1.5 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. WHILE NOT WARM ENOUGH OF A
DEPARTURE TO EARN A TOP TEN RANKING, IT CONTINUED THE WARM TREND
FROM SEPTEMBER AND OCTOBER, AND HELPED LAND THE FALL SEASON
(SEPTEMBER-OCTOBER-NOVEMBER) IN THE TOP TEN WARMEST ON RECORD. FALL
2017 AVERAGED 80.9 DEGREES, RANKING AS THE 7TH WARMEST FOR KEY WEST.
THE WARMEST FALL ON RECORD IS 2007, WHEN THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR
THE 3-MONTH PERIOD WAS 82.2 DEGREES.

AFTER ONLY RECEIVING 1.51 INCHES OF RAINFALL AT KEY WEST, NOVEMBER
BROKE WITH THE PREVIOUS 2 MONTHS BY ENDING WITH A DEFICIT OF 0.79
INCHES COMPARED TO THE LONG-TERM AVERAGE. THIS WAS ANOTHER
MEASUREMENT THAT DID NOT LAND NEAR THE TOP TEN WETTEST OR DRIEST.
DURING FALL 2017 KEY WEST RECEIVED 16.60 INCHES OF RAINFALL, OR 2.66
INCHES ABOVE AVERAGE FOR SEPTEMBER THROUGH NOVEMBER, NEAR THE MIDDLE
OF THE PACK FOR WETTEST FALL PERIODS ON RECORD.
