FEBRUARY 2017 AT GRAND FORKS INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WAS THE 12TH
WARMEST ON RECORD DATING BACK TO 1941. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS
19.9 DEGREES WHICH IS 7.9F DEGREES ABOVE THE NORMAL 12.0F. MOST OF
THE WARMTH OCCURRED DURING AN EXTREMELY WARM PERIOD DURING THE
MIDDLE OF THE MONTH WHICH CAUSED A DAILY RECORD HIGH OF 46F ON THE
19TH.

WITH RESPECT TO PRECIPITATION THE 0.40 INCHES OF FEB 2017 WAS JUST
0.12 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL 0.52 INCHES. AS FOR SNOWFALL, THE
4.7 INCHES MEASURED WAS 1.9 INCHES BELOW THE NORMAL 6.6 INCHES.
