NOVEMBER 2014 WAS A WARMER MONTH THAN NORMAL FOR KOTZEBUE. DURING THE MONTH, THERE WERE MULTIPLE FRONTAL BOUNDARIES MOVING THROUGH THE AREA WITH AREAS OF LOW PRESSURE TROUGH AFFECTING OUR AREA WITH HAVE THE MONTH SEEING SOME PRECIPITATION. ALSO, STRONG RIDGES OF HIGH PRESSURE SET UP OVER THE NORTHERN INTERIOR ALASKA.

WHEN IT COMES TO THE TEMPERATURES, THE AVERAGE DAILY MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE
WAS ABOVE NORMAL ABOUT THREE WEEKS OUT OF THE MONTH. THE REST OF THE MONTH WAS AT OR BELOW NORMAL.FOR NOVEMBER BE MAINLY BE A WARMER MONTH, MAXIMUM TEMPERATURES WERE TIED FOUR TIMES AND MINUMUM TEMPERATURES FIVES TIMES IN THE MONTH.

THE DAILY HIGH MAXIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS TIED ON THE 11TH WITH 37, ON THE 12TH WITH 38, ON THE 13TH WITH 39, ON THE 18TH WITH 32 AND ON THE 19TH WITH 36 DEGREES. THE MINIMUM TEMPERATURE WAS TIED ON THE 10TH WITH 32, ON THE 11TH WITH 33, ON THE 12TH WITH 35 AND ON THE 13TH WITH 35 DEGREES.

NOVEMBER WAS A DRIER MONTH THAN NORMAL WITH A LOW PRECIPITATION TOTAL.
THE SNOWFALL WAS TOTALED AT 1.1 INCHES FOR THE MONTH.
