SHREVEPORT AND BOSSIER CITY OBSERVED NEAR NORMAL TEMPERATURES AND
BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL DURING THIS JULY OF 2017. WE NEITHER BROKE
NOR TIED ANY WEATHER RECORDS NOR EXPERIENCED ANY FLOODING THIS
MONTH. INDEED THE ONLY HIGHLIGHTS DURING THIS JULY OCCURRED DURING
THE FIRST WEEK OF THE MONTH DURING A RATHER ACTIVE SEABREEZE, THE
MOST ACTIVE IN SEVERAL YEARS. DURING THE EVENING OF THE SIXTH,
STRONG THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPED FROM THE SEABREEZE AND PRODUCED SOME
WIND DAMAGE FROM DOWNBURST WINDS. SHREVEPORT ALSO RECORDED STRONG
WINDS AND SOME MINOR WIND DAMAGE FROM DOWNBURSTS DURING THE EIGHTH
AS WELL.
