.SYNOPSIS FOR PUERTO RICO AND THE U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS WATERS...
Major Hurricane Maria will cross directly through the local waters.

Maria is a Category 5 hurricane.
THIS WILL BE A VERY DANGEROUS STORM.

Hurricane Maria will move across the local area as a Category 5 (the
highest category) hurricane tonight through Thursday with
dramatically increasing wind and very dangerous seas. Conditions will
remain hazardous beyond Thursday. There is no chance of a successful
passage through this storm.
