...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 AM CDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN ALEXANDER...SOUTHERN BOLLINGER...SOUTHEASTERN CARTER...
NORTHWESTERN SCOTT...RIPLEY...SOUTHERN WAYNE...NORTHERN BUTLER...
SOUTHERN CAPE GIRARDEAU AND NORTHERN STODDARD COUNTIES...

At 1153 PM CDT, showers and isolated thunderstorms continued across
warned area. Doppler radar estimates 1.5 to 3 inches of rainfall
across the area. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to increase
again overnight. So additional statements and warnings may be
required, due to additional flooding concerns. Areas northwest of
Poplar Bluff received around 2.5 inches of rainfall in a 3 hour
period.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cape Girardeau, Poplar Bluff, Jackson, Scott City, Chaffee, Doniphan,
Advance, Oran, Benton, Wappapello Lake Area, Puxico, Kelso, Bell
City, Delta, Gordonville, East Cape Girardeau, Williamsville,
Dutchtown, Wappapello and Brush Arbor.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
