...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR
OUACHITA PARISH...

AT 1003 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR CONTINUED TO INDICATE PATCHY LIGHT TO
MODERATE RAIN ONGOING ACROSS PORTIONS OF OUACHITA PARISH. WHILE THIS
RAIN WILL LIKELY NOT RESULT IN ADDITIONAL FLASH FLOODING...RUNOFF FROM
PREVIOUS RAINFALL IS LIKELY STILL GOING ON...ESPECIALLY ACROSS FLOOD
PRONE AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...URBAN AREAS...HIGHWAYS...STREETS AND
UNDERPASSES AS WELL AS OTHER DRAINAGE AREAS AND LOW LYING SPOTS.
