855 AM EST TUE JAN 24 2017

...The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a flood
warning for the following rivers in South Carolina...

  Pee Dee River At Cheraw affecting Chesterfield and Marlboro
  Counties

.Runoff from the rainfall of Saturday and Sunday will combine with
releases from upstream reservoirs to produce minor flooding along
the Great Pee Dee River.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Safety message...never drive vehicles through flooded areas. The
water may be too deep to allow safe passage. Never allow children to
play in or near flood waters. Stay tuned to noaa weather radio...
local media or the internet for further statements and updated
forecasts.

The National Weather Service in Columbia has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  The Pee Dee River At Cheraw
* FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO THURSDAY EVENING...or until the warning is
  cancelled.
* At  7 AM Tuesday the stage was 25.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage this afternoon
  and crest around 32.9 feet Wednesday morning. The river will fall
  below flood stage by late Wednesday evening.
* At 33.0 feet...southeast of Wallace...water spreads onto Old River
  Road between Community Road and Highway 912.
* At 30.0 feet...large areas of river bottomland around Cheraw
  become flooded. Portions of Riverside Park become flooded.
