Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
411 AM MDT Tue Aug 22 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...It will be a little cooler with
higher humidity readings across the plains today. However, gusty
southeast winds will increase for the afternoon and evening hours.
In the mountains, morning sunshine will give way to scattered
afternoon thunderstorms, with the highest coverage from the Front
Range Mountains and Foothills into Park county. A couple of these
storms may push onto the nearby adjacent plains in the late
afternoon and evening hours, producing gusty winds, brief heavy
rain, frequent lightning, and small hail. Partial clearing will
occur overnight with good humidity recovery.

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Wednesday through Saturday...There will be a
chance of showers and thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday. On
Friday and Saturday there will be a slight chance of thunderstorms.
Temperatures will be near seasonal normals.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
