AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
301 PM EDT MON AUG 31 2015

.DISCUSSION...MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO CONTINUES TO DEFINE
THE AIRMASS OVER THE REGION OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS...WITH THE DEEPEST
MOISTURE SHIFTING TO AND REMAINING EAST ALONG THE COAST.

SIGNIFICANT LOW CLOUD COVER AND PATCHY FOG IS EXPECTED TUESDAY
AND WEDNESDAY MORNINGS...WITH BREAKS IN THE CLOUDS ALLOWING SOLAR

THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPMENT. COVERAGE WILL BE SLIGHTLY HIGHER ON
WEDNESDAY AS THE REMNANT ENERGY ASSOCIATED WITH THE OLD TROPICAL
SYSTEM ERIKA MOVE ALONG THE COAST TO OUR EAST.

WITH A WEAK HIGH PRESSURE SYSTEM NORTH OF OUR AREA...THE PRESSURE
GRADIENT IS EXPECTED TO BE WEAK...WITH GENERALLY LIGHT AND VARIABLE
WINDS AT THE SURFACE. DAYTIME TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE SOUTH TO WEST
ACROSS THE REGION TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY AT LESS THAN 10MPH. DAYTIME
MIXING HEIGHTS WILL BE 4000 TO 5000 FEET IN THE AFTERNOONS.
