Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central Pennsylvania
National Weather Service State College PA
426 AM EST Sat Feb 25 2017

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will push east through the district today and
bring an end to the record warm spell we`ve had over the
past several days. A widespread quarter-inch to half-inch of
rain will fall across the area today. A narrow line of strong
to potentially severe thunderstorms will develop across the
Central Mountains or Susquehanna Valley during the midday and
afternoon hours. some localized damaging wind gusts are
possible...mainly across the eastern half of the state.
Westerly winds in the wake of the cold front will gust between
35 and 45 mph along and behind the front. The west wind
will subside slowly late tonight and Sunday as high pressure
builds to our south.
