FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN ALABAMA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HUNTSVILLE AL
234 PM CDT MON JUL 28 2014

.DISCUSSION...
A LARGE AREA OF HIGH PRESSURE WILL MOVE SOUTHEAST INTO THE
TENNESSEE VALLEY REGION THROUGH MID WEEK WITH DRIER AND COOLER
WEATHER EXPECTED. AFTERNOON RH VALUES WILL FALL TO BETWEEN 30 AND
35 PERCENT BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY FOR LOCATIONS WEST OF
INTERSTATE 65 AND AROUND 35 PERCENT ELSEWHERE. NORTHWEST WINDS
RANGING FROM 10 TO 15 MPH WILL PROVIDE FOR GOOD SMOKE DISPERSION
VALUES BOTH TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY.

THE COOLER AND DRIER AIRMASS WILL REMAIN IN PLACE ACROSS THE AREA
THROUGH THE END OF THE WORK WEEK. HOWEVER...WIDELY SCATTERED TO
SCATTERED SHOWERS AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS WILL RETURN FROM
THURSDAY THROUGH THE UPCOMING WEEKEND...AS AN APPROACHING UPPER
LEVEL DISTURBANCE INTERACTS WITH INCREASING MOISTURE.
