FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST
FOR NORTHEAST SOUTH CAROLINA AND SOUTHEAST NORTH CAROLINA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON NC
412 AM EDT FRI OCT 31 2014

.DISCUSSION...
HIGH PRESSURE WILL REST OVER THE AREA TODAY BETWEEN AN
APPROACHING COLD FRONT TO THE WEST AND A WEAK AREA OF LOW PRESSURE
ALONG A RESIDUAL FRONT POSITIONED JUST OFFSHORE. A POWERFUL COLD
FRONT WILL CROSS THE REGION ON SATURDAY BRINGING SOME LIGHT RAIN
IN ADDITION TO A BITTERLY COLD AND DRY LATE WEEKEND. HIGH PRESSURE
WILL THEN BECOME THE DOMINANT WEATHER FEATURE THROUGH
THE FIRST HALF OF NEXT WEEK.

WIND PROFILE ANALYSIS/FIRE CONTROL OVER FLAT TERRAIN IS FAVORABLE.

FOG POTENTIAL FOR TONIGHT...NONE.
