Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
248 PM CDT Thu Mar 23 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Windy and much warmer conditions are expected across central
and southeast Illinois on Friday. While mixing heights and
ventilation rates may be good, southerly surface wind gusts around
30 mph may result in some difficulty in controlling burns.
Most of the day will be dry. However, a line of showers and
thunderstorms is expected to begin developing across Iowa and
Missouri early in the afternoon, and may reach the Illinois River
after 4 pm. However, most of the rain will hold off until
evening. Periods of showers and thunderstorms are then expected
the remainder of the weekend.
