Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
240 AM CST Tue Feb 21 2017

.DISCUSSION...
Showers will come to an end from west to east this morning, with
patchy fog lingering for a couple hours after the rain. Winds will
generally be light today as a frontal boundary progresses from NW
to SE across IL. Wind directions will be erratic in the vicinity
of the front, and remain less than 10kt. On Wednesday, winds
should increase from the southwest ahead of the next low pressure
system. After a short dry period mid week, look for more rain to
begin arriving Thursday afternoon, increasing Thursday night and
Friday. A few thunderstorms are expected, especially Friday
afternoon east of I-55. Unseasonably warm weather will continue
the remainder of the work week, with high temperatures in the 60s
and 70s over central and southeast Illinois.
