Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
Nantional Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
353 AM CDT Tue Jun 27 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns will remain low today, given near normal
temperatures and elevated RHs due to recent rainfall. Thunderstorms
are possible again this afternoon/evening, mainly from the Big Bend
northwestward to the Guadalupe Mtns. A significant warming/drying
trend will begin Wednesday, with critical RHs expected across SE New
Mexico and portions of SW Texas. 20ft winds could reach 20-25 mph in
the Guadalupe Mtns Wednesday afternoon, resulting in increased fire
weather concerns there. Despite hotter/drier conditions Thursday,
critical conditions are not expected as 20ft winds will be light.
