Fire Weather Planning Forecast For West Texas/Southeast New Mexico

.DISCUSSION...

Temperatures will warm 5-10 degrees above normal Sunday through
Thursday.  Through Tuesday, minimum afternoon RHs will generally
stay above 25% areawide.  On Wednesday, and particularly Thursday,
minimum afternoon RHs will drop to 15-20% along and west of the
Pecos River.  A few locations could have elevated fire weather
conditions Wednesday afternoon, but Thursday afternoon 20 foot wind
speeds could be 15-20 mph sustained, and elevated to near critical
conditions west of the Pecos river will be possible.  Recovery will
be fair west to good east most mornings through midweek.
