Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
251 PM PDT Mon Oct 16 2017

...Moderate to strong and gusty winds expected Thursday...

.DISCUSSION...
Mild daytime temperatures with low RHs this afternoon under light
winds will lead to poor to moderate RH recoveries tonight. Tuesday
through Wednesday temperatures and RHs are expected to slowly
moderate, as winds slowly increase. Wednesday night through Thursday
moderate to strong and gusty south winds will occur at most
locations. The strong frontal system driving these winds will bring
wetting rainfall spreading from the coast to the Cascades during
the day on Thursday, and then across the east side Thursday night
into Friday. Snow levels are expected to fall to near 5,000 feet
Friday. A warm front will bring more rain to portions of the area
this weekend.
