...Snow in the Cascades and Strong Winds on the East Side Today...

.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will bring precipitation and gusty westerly winds
today. Precipitation will be heaviest in the coastal range and
southern Oregon Cascades while winds will be strongest east of the
Cascades. The snow level will fall to around 5000 feet before
precipitation ends this evening. A few showers may skirt the
northern portion of the area Thursday. A similar system will brush
past on Sunday. Otherwise, high pressure will bring warm and dry
weather Friday into early next week.
