FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTH IDAHO
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SPOKANE WA
625 AM PDT SUN SEP 21 2014

.DISCUSSION...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL GIVE WAY TO WARMER AND DRIER CONDITIONS FOR
TODAY. A SERIES OF WEAK WEATHER DISTURBANCES WILL MOVE THROUGH THE
REGION AND BRING SOME SPRINKLES OR LIGHT SHOWERS ALONG WITH
INCREASED WINDS AT TIMES BETWEEN LATE MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY. THE
RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE IS EXPECTED TO BREAK DOWN BY WEDNESDAY
NEAR THE CASCADES AND SPREAD EAST THURSDAY. THE JET STREAM IS
EXPECTED TO BE SOUTH AND EAST OF THE FIRE FORECAST AREA FRIDAY
ALLOWING FOR MUCH COOLER TEMEPRATURES AND WET UNSETTLED WEATHER
TYPICAL OF FALL.

FORECASTS FOR 20 FOOT WIND SPEEDS (VALLEYS AND RIDGE TOPS) ARE
