Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southeast Kansas and Southwest and Central Missouri
National Weather Service Springfield MO
1244 PM CST Sat Nov 18 2017

.DISCUSSION...

Gusty northwest winds will continue to occur this afternoon, then
will weaken this evening. Some wind gusts will be from 35 to 45 mph
this afternoon.

Light rain will be possible this afternoon, ending from west to
east by the late afternoon hours.

A cooler and drier air mass is spreading into the area behind a
front that moved through earlier in the day. Highs on Sunday
will be in the upper 40s to the lower 50s.

Southerly winds will increase some Monday as a warmer air mass spreads
back to the north. A dry air mass will remain in place across the region
as moisture will be slower to return to the area than the warmer
temperatures will. Elevated fire weather conditions will be possible on
Monday as low afternoon relative humidity values develop along with gusty
winds.
