...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

MONSOON MOISTURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE MAINLY ACROSS NORTHWEST
ARIZONA AND SOUTHERN NEVADA THROUGH THE WEEK LEADING TO ISOLATED
THUNDERSTORMS. THOSE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MAINLY CONFINED TO THE
HIGHER TERRAIN. THERE IS A HIGHER PROBABILITY OF SEEING WETTING
STORMS TODAY BEFORE SLIGHTLY DRIER AIR MOVES IN FOR WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY. TEMPERATURES WILL RETURN TO NEAR NORMAL WEDNESDAY AND
THURSDAY. THERE STILL LOOKS TO BE AN UPSWING IN THUNDERSTORMS OVER
THE WEEKEND.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

DRYING OF THE MONSOONAL MOISTURE THAT BROUGHT THUNDERSTORMS THE PAST
FEW DAYS IS UNDERWAY...BUT THE REMAINING MOISTURE MIGHT BE
SUFFICIENT FOR A FEW THUNDERSTORMS NEAR THE MOUNTAINS THIS
AFTERNOON. DRIER WEATHER WILL THEN PREVAIL FOR MUCH OF THE REST OF
THE WEEK...BUT WITH SOME RETURN OF MONSOONAL MOISTURE POSSIBLE FOR
FRIDAY INTO THE WEEKEND. SLOW WARMING IS EXPECTED INTO THE WEEKEND
FOLLOWED BY SLOW COOLING INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. WEAK ONSHORE FLOW AND
DRYING OF MID AND UPPER LEVEL MOISTURE SHOULD ALLOW FOR SOME RETURN
OF THE MARINE LAYER FOR COASTAL AREAS OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

A DECLINE IN ATMOSPHERIC MOISTURE WILL OCCUR FROM WEST TO EAST TODAY
AND WEDNESDAY LEADING TO DECREASED HUMIDITIES AND BREAK IN
THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY...WITH ONLY VERY SLIGHT CHANCES OVER THE
HIGHER TERRAIN OF SOUTH-CENTRAL ARIZONA. TEMPERATURES WILL BE A FEW
DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. WINDS WILL FAVOR SOUTHWEST AND WEST
DIRECTIONS.
