...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

HOT AND DRY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR MOST OF THE
REGION THROUGH THE WEEKEND. SOUTH-SOUTHWEST WINDS GUSTING 20-30 MPH
WILL DEVELOP THIS AFTERNOON OVER THE MOJAVE DESERT AND NORTHWEST
ARIZONA ZONES THEN DAYTIME WINDS WILL DECREASE FRIDAY AND SATURDAY.
ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE POSSIBLE EACH AFTERNOON OVER THE
SOUTHERN SIERRA THROUGH SUNDAY.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL CONTINUE EXCESSIVE HEAT ACROSS THE DESERTS
THROUGH THE WEEKEND. MORE COOLING WILL OCCUR OVER THE NEXT COUPLE
OF DAYS THROUGH THE INLAND VALLEYS AND ACROSS THE MOUNTAINS. A
SHALLOW MARINE LAYER WILL HELP KEEP HUMIDITY HIGHER AND
TEMPERATURES LOWER ALONG THE COAST. BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL DEVELOP
AGAIN ALONG THE DESERT SLOPES OF THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
MOUNTAINS AND THIS WILL OCCUR EACH OF THE NEXT FEW NIGHTS WITH
GUSTS AROUND 30 MPH.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

VERY HOT CONDITIONS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH FRIDAY AS THUNDERSTORM
ACTIVITY LESSENS ACROSS THE STATE HAVING LITTLE TO NO INFLUENCE ON
THE DISTRICTS. WHILE MOISTURE WILL INCREASE VERY SLIGHTLY WITH
AFTERNOON HUMIDITY LEVELS FALLING TO NEAR 10-15% FOLLOWING FAIR
OVERNIGHT RECOVERY, HAINES INDICES WILL HOVER NEAR 6 IN THE
UNUSUALLY HOT AND DRY ENVIRONMENT. FORTUNATELY, WINDS WILL ONLY
HAVE THE TYPICAL AFTERNOON UPSLOPE GUSTS AND OVERNIGHT DRAINAGE
COMPONENTS.
