...DISCUSSION FROM RNOFWFVEF...

HIGH PRESSURE WILL REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGH FRIDAY BEFORE IT WEAKENS
SLIGHTLY IN RESPONSE TO A SHORTWAVE TROUGH MOVING THROUGH THE
NORTHERN GREAT BASIN. THIS FEATURE WILL HAVE LITTLE IMPACT ON THE
OVERALL WEATHER...BUT WILL BRING SOME OCCASIONAL HIGH CLOUDS ALONG
WITH BREEZY TO WINDY CONDITIONS DOWN THE COLORADO RIVER SATURDAY
NIGHT AND SUNDAY. DRY CONDITIONS LOOK TO REMAIN IN PLACE THROUGH
MUCH OF NEXT WEEK.

...DISCUSSION FROM LAXFWFSGX...

A WARM AND DRY AIR MASS WILL CONTINUE OVER THE REGION TODAY AND
FRIDAY. ISOLATED EASTERLY BREEZES ARE EXPECTED IN THE FOOTHILLS.
WEAK ONSHORE FLOW RETURNS SATURDAY FOR A SLIGHT INCREASE IN
HUMIDITY NEAR THE COAST. HIGH PRESSURE AND OFFSHORE FLOW RETURN
SUNDAY AND MONDAY WITH SOME GUSTY SANTA ANA WINDS. THIS WILL RAISE
TEMPERATURES AND DROP HUMIDITY THOSE DAYS...INCREASING THE FIRE
POTENTIAL. ONSHORE FLOW AND MORE HUMID WEATHER ARRIVES NEXT
WEDNESDAY ALONG WITH A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS.

...DISCUSSION FROM PHXFWFPSR...

STRONG HIGH PRESSURE WILL PERSIST INTO THE WEEKEND...KEEPING HIGH
TEMPERATURES WELL ABOVE SEASONAL NORMALS EACH DAY. MINIMUM HUMIDITY
LEVELS WILL STAY IN THE TEENS OVER THE DESERTS EACH DAY WITH FAIR TO
GOOD OVERNIGHT RECOVERY ALL DISTRICTS. EXPECT LIGHT DIURNALLY DRIVEN
SURFACE WINDS AND SLOPE FLOW...AND POOR TO MARGINAL SMOKE
DISPERSION.
