.DISCUSSION...A hot and dry day today will be followed by
thunderstorms this evening and overnight. Thunderstorms are most
likely between 9pm and 1am. Along with lightning, gusty and
erratic outflow winds are the main hazard expected with storms.
Winds could easily gust to 30 to 40 mph with thunderstorms. While
brief heavy rain is possible under thunderstorm cores, the overall
potential for one of these cores to hit you is fairly low. Thus
CWRs are low as well. Cooler more moist conditions with afternoon
breezes are anticipated for Tuesday.
