SPOT FORECAST FOR SALINA CREEK RX
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SALT LAKE CITY UT
420 AM MDT SAT MAR 28 2015

.DISCUSSION...A WEAK DISTURBANCE WILL CLIP NORTHERN UTAH THIS
AFTERNOON AND WILL PUSH A DRY COLD FRONT INTO THE AREA BY EARLY
EVENING. THIS SAID...NOT EXPECTING ANY SOLID NORTHERLY WINDS AT
THE SALINA CREEK BURN SITE TODAY AS THE FRONT IS QUITE SHALLOW AND
LOOKS TO SUPPORT A MORE WESTERLY WIND AT ELEVATION. DEEP MIXING
AND MODERATE TRANSPORT WINDS WILL ALLOW FOR EXCELLENT CLEARING
THROUGHOUT THE MIDDAY/AFTERNOON HOURS.

REMNANT MOISTURE ALONG THE STALLED FRONTAL BOUNDARY WILL ALLOW
INCREASED BUILDUPS OVER THE AREA TOMORROW...BUT ONLY A SLIGHT
CHANCE EXISTS FOR PRECIP AND WETTING RAIN POTENTIAL WILL REMAIN
NIL. WESTERLY WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO BECOME A BIT LIGHTER HOLDING
IN THE 5-10 MPH RANGE.

OUTLOOK THROUGH MIDWEEK...DO NOT FORESEE ANY ISSUES WITH CLEARING
FALLING BELOW 500 THROUGH WEDNESDAY. ANOTHER DRY COLD FRONT IS
EXPECTED TO APPROACH THE BURN SITE TUESDAY AFTERNOON/EVENING
RAMPING WSW WINDS UP TO MODERATE LEVELS...15 TO 25 MPH
RANGE...THEN SHIFTING MORE NORTHERLY OVERNIGHT INTO WED AS THE
FRONT CONTINUES TO TRACK SOUTH OF THE AREA.
