...LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED LATER SUNDAY INTO MONDAY...

SCATTERED AFTERNOON AND EVENING SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FRIDAY
WERE MOST NUMEROUS ACROSS PORTIONS OF WEST VIRGINIA, VIRGINIA,
SOUTHERN NEW YORK AND NORTHEAST PENNSYLVANIA. MOST OBSERVED RAINFALL
AMOUNTS WERE LESS THAN THREE QUARTERS OF AN INCH, BUT ONE TO TWO
INCHES LOCALLY.

SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP AGAIN THIS
AFTERNOON AND EVENING, ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE NORTH, WITH MOST AREAS
RECEIVING LESS THAN ONE HALF INCH OF RAIN.

TROPICAL MOISTURE OFF THE SOUTH CAROLINA COAST WILL MOVE NORTH
SUNDAY INTO MONDAY, SPREADING A SWATH OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAINFALL FROM
VIRGINIA TO SOUTHEAST NEW YORK. A GENERAL ONE TO TWO INCHES OF RAIN
IS EXPECTED IN THESE AREAS FROM SUNDAY AFTERNOON INTO MONDAY.
LOCALLY HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE POSSIBLE.

ON AREA RIVERS AND CREEKS, GENERALLY MINOR CHANGES ARE EXPECTED INTO
SUNDAY. MINOR TO MODERATE RISES ARE EXPECTED LATER SUNDAY THROUGH
MONDAY ESPECIALLY ACROSS THE EASTERN BASINS.
