This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of southeast New
Mexico, southwest Texas and western Texas.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

The Heat Advisory will continue into the the night across most areas.

Isolated thunderstorms are possible over the mountains this
afternoon, and over the northern Permian Basin tonight. Gusty winds
and occasional lightning strikes are possible with these storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

A Heat Advisory is in effect Friday for most all areas, except the
northern Permian Basin and southeast New Mexico, although it will be
still hot there. High temperatures within the advisory are expected
to range from around 100 in the mountains to 105 to 110 in the
plains, 100 to 115 on the Rio Grande.

A better chance of thunderstorms exist late Friday afternoon through
Sunday, some of which could be severe Friday and Friday night. Large
hail, damaging winds, heavy rainfall and localized flash flooding
will be possible.

Strong easterly winds are possible through Guadalupe Pass Friday
night in wake of a cold front.
