...STRONG STORM TO IMPACT THE WESTERN BERING SEA STARTING MONDAY...

A STORM WILL PUSH INTO THE WESTERN BERING SEA BY MIDDAY MONDAY AS
AN AREA OF LOW PRESSURE NEAR KAMCHATKA BEGINS TO RAPIDLY
INTENSIFY. A LARGE SWATH OF 50 TO 60 KT WINDS ARE EXPECTED TO
IMPACT MUCH OF THE WESTERN BERING SEA LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH
WEDNESDAY. HURRICANE FORCE WIND GUSTS IN THE RANGE OF 65 TO 70 KT
ARE POSSIBLE FROM THE WESTERN TO CENTRAL ALEUTIANS WITH BOTH THE
LEADING WARM FRONT AND THE COLDER SOUTHWEST WINDS WRAPPING AROUND
THE LOW.

HIGH SEAS WILL ALSO ACCOMPANY THIS SYSTEM WITH WAVE HEIGHTS IN
THE RANGE OF 35 TO 45 FEET ALONG THE PACIFIC SIDE OF THE
ALEUTIANS. SEAS OF 25 TO 35 FEET ARE EXPECTED ACROSS MUCH OF THE
BERING SEA. MODERATE TO HEAVY RAINFALL WILL ACCOMPANY THIS
SYSTEM. MARINERS WHO PLAN TO VOYAGE ACROSS THE BERING SEA THIS
UPCOMING WEEK ARE URGED TO CLOSELY MONITOR THE SITUATION.
