...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE OVER THE NEW JERSEY COASTAL
WATERS...

AT 510 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED
SEVERAL THUNDERSTORMS NEAR AND OFFSHORE OF THE COASTS OF MONMOUTH
AND OCEAN COUNTIES. SOME OF THE STORMS ARE CAPABLE OF PRODUCING
STRONG WINDS TO 30 KNOTS AND SMALL HAIL. THESE STORMS ARE GENERALLY
DRIFTING TO THE WEST AT 5 KNOTS.

MARINERS CAN ALSO EXPECT LOCALLY HIGHER WAVES...LIGHTNING
STRIKES...AND HEAVY DOWNPOURS. BOATERS SHOULD SEEK SAFE HARBOR
IMMEDIATELY UNTIL THIS STORM PASSES.

FREQUENT LIGHTNING IS OCCURRING WITH THESE STORMS. IF CAUGHT ON THE
OPEN WATER STAY BELOW DECK IF POSSIBLE...KEEP AWAY FROM UNGROUNDED
METAL OBJECTS.
