DISCUSSION:

THERE WILL BE A SLIGHT CHANCE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR
INTERIOR AREAS THIS AFTERNOON AND THIS EVENING, THEN AGAIN ON SUNDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. ANY SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP
THIS AFTERNOON SHOULD BE CONFINED TO EASTERN LOS ANGELES COUNTY IN
THE ANTELOPE VALLEY AND THE SAN GABRIEL MOUNTAINS. THE SLIGHT CHANCE
OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ON SUNDAY WILL COVER THE ANTELOPE
VALLEY AND THE MOUNTAINS OF LOS ANGELES, VENTURA, AND SANTA BARBARA
COUNTIES.

THE NEXT CHANCE FOR RAIN WILL BE LATE THURSDAY THROUGH SATURDAY AS A
SLOW MOVING LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM MAY AFFECT THE REGION. PRECIPITATION
WILL LIKELY BE SHOWERY IN NATURE AND ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE.

THIS WILL BE THE LAST ROUTINE QUANTITATIVE PRECIPITATION FORECAST
FOR THE SEASON. ROUTINE ISSUANCES WILL RESUME ON NOVEMBER 1.
HOWEVER, IF WIDESPREAD (NON-CONVECTIVE) RAINFALL IS EXPECTED PRIOR
TO THAT DATE SPECIAL FORECASTS WILL BE ISSUED.
