.DISCUSSION...Cloudy skies, cool temperatures, and scattered
showers will be found across the area today. A few thunderstorms
are also possible across south central South Dakota. High
temperatures will range from the upper 40s in western South Dakota
to the upper 50s in south central South Dakota. Minimum relative
humidity will range from 75 to 85 percent with northerly winds at
10 to 20 mph.

...Low Fire Danger...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the low category this
afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fire occurrence is low.
Outdoor burning under these conditions can usually be performed
with reasonable safety precautions.

The outlook for Sunday afternoon, The grassland fire danger index
will reach the low category.
