Daily River And Lake Summary
National Weather Service Wakefield, Va
1054 AM EDT Tue Apr 25 2017

hours. In excess of 2 inches of rainfall fell across portions of
northeast North Carolina and the far southern Virginia Piedmont.
Lesser amounts of rainfall were common further to the north and east
with around a half of an inch for most of the area. An additional
quarter to half of an inch of rainfall will be possible today as
rain showers continue to move over the region. Drier conditions are
expected for the remainder of the week. River levels will continue
to rise for the James, Appomattox, and Chowan basins, reaching
