...RIVER STATEMENT FOR THE TALLAPOOSA RIVER...

HEAVY RAINFALL DURING THE PAST 24 HOURS IS PRODUCING RISES ON THE
TALLAPOOSA RIVER. HOWEVER...LEVELS ARE EXPECTED TO REMAIN BELOW
ESTABLISHED FLOOD STAGES...AND ANY OVERFLOW ALONG THE RIVER SHOULD
BE OF A MINOR NATURE.

THE TALLAPOOSA RIVER AT MILSTEAD.
 LATEST STAGE:     19.6 FEET AT 8 PM SATURDAY.
 CAUTION STAGE:    15.0 FEET.
 FLOOD STAGE:      40.0 FEET.
 FORECAST:         CREST NEAR 19.9 FEET AFTER MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
                   AND THEN BEGIN TO FALL.


THE TALLAPOOSA RIVER AT THE TALLAPOOSA WATER PLANT.
 LATEST STAGE:     19.8 FEET AT 8 PM SATURDAY.
 CAUTION STAGE:    15.0 FEET.
 FLOOD STAGE:      25.0 FEET.
 FORECAST:         CREST NEAR 20.6 FEET TOMORROW MORNING
                   AND THEN BEGIN TO FALL.
