...A crest below flood stage is forecast for the following locations
along the Salt Fork Arkansas River...

  For the Salt Fork Arkansas River near Alva...

* Flood stage is 14.5 feet.

* The latest stage was 8.95 feet at 8 PM Thursday.

* The Salt Fork Arkansas River is forecast to crest near 11.3 feet
  early Friday morning.

* Impact...When the Salt Fork Arkansas River reaches 14.5 feet near
  Alva...Flood waters inundate farm property and block many low-lying
  roads along the river in Woods and Alfalfa counties.



  People in flood prone areas should continue to monitor water
  levels...and be prepared to seek higher ground should water levels
  rise suddenly.  Stay tuned for further information by listening to
  weather radio or local media sources.
