THIS MORNING...HIGH PRESSURE WAS LOCATED OVER SOUTHEASTERN
SASKATCHEWAN...WITH A WEAK SURFACE TROUGH EXTENDING FROM SOUTHERN
ONTARIO SOUTHWEST INTO CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. DENSE SMOKE WAS
LOCATED OVER MUCH OF THE REGION DUE TO WILDFIRES IN NORTHERN
CANADA.

THIS AFTERNOON...EXPECT PARTLY TO MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES WITH
WIDESPREAD SMOKE AND HAZE. AN ISOLATED SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM WILL
BE POSSIBLE IN EASTERN MONTANA AND THE DAKOTAS. EXPECT HIGH
TEMPERATURES IN THE 80S.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL APPROACH THE NORTHERN PLAINS ON
SATURDAY...BRINGING THE NEXT WIDESPREAD PRECIPITATION CHANCES.
