Abundant sunshine and warm temperatures in the upper 70s and lower
80s made up the weather story across the Quad State this afternoon.
A few clouds occasionally were seen in response to a dry, weak cold
front working east out of the area.
High pressure will anchor back into the Quad State area this
evening, remaining in place through Monday, until a system drops
down into our area from the northwest. This next system brings a
fairly good chance of showers, maybe even a thunderstorm or two,
after midnight Monday through Tuesday. Look for fog to redevelop
tonight and linger into early Sunday morning.
Until Tuesday`s weather maker arrives, highs will continue above
normal, generally in the upper 70s to lower half of the 80s Sunday
and Monday. Once Tuesday`s system goes through by Wednesday,
temperatures will head back to normals for this time of year, with
highs falling back into the 50s by Friday and nighttime lows in the
