NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PADUCAH KY
257 PM CDT Sun Jul 27 2014
Sunday was very hot and humid across the Quad State area. Variable
cloudy skies prevailed with west southwest winds 10 to 20 MPH.
Morning lows ranged from the mid 70s to low 80s with mid afternoon
highs climbing into the low to mid 90s. Along with the humidity,
heat index readings were around 100 degrees by the noon hour and
between 105 and 110 by mid afternoon.
A cold front is slated to move across the area this evening,
ushering in much cooler and drier air into the region. We will
drop back down into the lower 80s early in the week, with some
locales only reaching the upper 70s. Temperatures will gradually
moderate into mid 80s by the end of the week, and that is also
when rain chances will start to pick up.
