At early morning a large area of light to moderate rainfall was
spreading northeast across the region. Temperatures ranged from
the upper 50s to lower 60s and winds were generally out of the
southeast at 50 to 10 mph.
Several rounds of showers and storms will move across the region
over the weekend. The best chances appear to be from early this
morning through tonight with chances diminishing from west to
east through the day and early evening on Sunday. A few strong to
severe storms are possible today across much of the area and
again Sunday mainly over western Kentucky. A general one to two
inches of rainfall is anticipated by the time the system departs
Despite the unsettled wet weather, temperatures will be fairly
warm in the 70s for highs and around 60 for lows this weekend.
Somewhat cooler weather returns early next week with highs in the
upper 60s to around 70 and lows dipping into the lower 50s.
