...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PIKE AND SOUTHEASTERN MONTGOMERY
COUNTIES THROUGH 1030 PM CDT...

At 946 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Highland Home to near Luverne to 6 miles
northwest of Brantley. Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Troy, Brundidge, Goshen, Banks, Kent, Strata, Dublin, Naftel,
Antioch, Linwood, Ansley, Grady, Troy Municipal Airport, Troy
University, Lapine, Orion, Springhill, China Grove, Tarentum, and
Brundidge Municipal Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
