NORTHERN JOHNSON...SOUTHERN BENTON...JONES...SOUTHERN DELAWARE...LINN
AND NORTHERN IOWA COUNTIES UNTIL 130 AM CDT...

At 1243 AM CDT, radar indicated strong thunderstorms were located
along a line extending from near Cassville to Belle Plaine. Movement
was east at 40 mph.

Winds up to 35 are possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque, Anamosa, Galena, Marengo,
Mechanicsville, Marion, Coralville, North Liberty, Hiawatha, Mount
Vernon, Asbury, Dyersville, Monticello, Robins, Belle Plaine, Center
Point, Cascade and Lisbon.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 224 and 242.
 Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 37.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
these storms pass.
