LOS ANGELES COUNTIES LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY...

.A FRONTAL SYSTEM WILL BRING RAIN AND SNOW...HEAVY AT
TIMES TO THE MOUNTAINS OF VENTURA AND LOS ANGELES COUNTIES
EXCLUDING THE SANTA MONICA MOUNTAINS THIS EVENING THROUGH
THURSDAY MORNING...WITH SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS PERSISTING THROUGH
THE EVENING.

TWO ADDITIONAL STORMS MAY BRING SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS AND
STRONG WINDS TO THE MOUNTAINS IN THE WAKE OF THIS STORM...ONE
FRIDAY INTO FRIDAY NIGHT...AND THE NEXT SUNDAY INTO MONDAY.

EVENING TO 10 PM PST THURSDAY...


* TIMING...RAIN AND SNOW WILL BEGIN THIS EVENING...THEN CONTINUE
  THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING. SCATTERED RAIN AND SNOW SHOWERS WILL
  LINGER THROUGH THURSDAY EVENING.

* WINDS...SOUTH WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 55 MPH ARE
  EXPECTED LATE THIS EVENING THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...THEN
  WINDS WILL BECOME SOUTHWEST TO WEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS TO
  45 MPH.

* SNOW LEVELS...6500 TO 7000 FEET THIS EVENING...LOWERING TO 5000
  TO 5500 FEET LATE TONIGHT OR EARLY THURSDAY...THEN REMAINING AT
  THOSE LEVELS INTO THURSDAY NIGHT.

* SNOW ACCUMULATION...5 TO 10 INCHES ABOVE 6500 FEET...WITH 2 TO
  5 INCHES BETWEEN 5500 AND 6500 FEET. LOCAL TOTALS UP TO 12
  INCHES ARE POSSIBLE ABOVE 7500 FEET.

* IMPACTS...PERIODS OF SNOW...GUSTY WINDS...AND LOW VISIBILITIES
  MAKE FOR DANGEROUS DRIVING CONDITIONS AND COULD LEAD TO TRAVEL
  PROBLEMS ON HIGHER MOUNTAIN ROADS.

BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND
USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING. CHECK THE LATEST ROAD REPORTS BEFORE
