...NWS Meteorologists Currently Surveying Storm Damage Near
Pletcher/Pools Croassroads in Chilton County Alabama...

The National Weather Service office in Birmingham AL is currently
conducting a storm survey for the area near Pletcher/Pools
Croassroads in Chilton County Alabama. The survey is in relation
to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area on
4/2/2024.

The survey team has confirmed tornado damage in this area.
However, the survey is still ongoing, and a final rating is still
yet to be determined.

A final assessment, including detailed survey results, is
expected to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement this evening.
