.DISCUSSION...Tonight and Tuesday...
Isolated showers are possible this evening across the high
country, and lightning is not anticipated. Much cooler
temperatures across the East Slope and plains tomorrow behind a
cold front and winds will be light and out of the east, so there
are no fire wx concerns. Isolated showers and thunderstorms are
possible across the high country during the afternoon and evening
hours, but not very little precipitation is expected across the
plains, though by late evening chances of some light precip
increase. The final thing to mention is that there will be a
robust low level inversion east of the Divide, and with light
winds, smoke dispersal will be mostly poor across all of the
plains, with a few hours of fair during the mid afternoon.
LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Tuesday night through Saturday...Temperatures
warm back up Wednesday as high pressure aloft moves over
Colorado. Isolated showers/storms will be possible over far
northern Colorado, otherwise dry conditions will prevail. Moisture
increases for Thursday ahead of an approaching system that will
bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Thursday afternoon and
evening. Though along and south of I-70, may see drier and breezy
conditions Thursday afternoon. Cooling trend begins Friday and
continues into Saturday as a strong storm system takes aim on the
region. There`s a good chance (60-80 percent) for widespread rain
and mountain/foothills snow late Friday and Saturday.
