THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR PORTIONS OF CENTRAL...SOUTH
CENTRAL...SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL KANSAS.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

SOUTHWEST WINDS 15 TO 20 MPH AND RELATIVE HUMIDITIES BETWEEN 25
AND 30 PERCENT WILL FAVOR ACTIVE FIRE BEHAVIOR THIS AFTERNOON.
EXTREME CAUTION SHOULD BE EXERCISED WITH ANY CONTROLLED BURNS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY

DAYS 2-7 DISCUSSION

A STRONG UPPER LEVEL TROUGH WILL MOVE ACROSS THE SOUTHWESTERN
UNITED STATES AND REACH THE CENTRAL PLAINS SUNDAY. A DEEP LOW WILL
FORM IN NORTHEAST COLORADO AND PROGRESS INTO NORTHERN NEBRASKA
BY SUNDAY EVENING. VERY STRONG WINDS WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 50
MPH CAN BE EXPECTED SUNDAY, ESPECIALLY DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS.
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL FALL TO LESS THAN 15 PERCENT BEHIND A
DRYLINE, AND EXTREME FIRE BEHAVIOR IS POSSIBLE. LOCAL AREAS OF BLOWING
DUST MAY OCCUR.

LOW LEVEL MOISTURE WILL SPREAD FROM THE SOUTHERN PLAINS INTO
KANSAS SATURDAY NIGHT AND SUNDAY, AND A FEW THUNDERSTORMS ARE
POSSIBLE NEAR THE DRYLINE SUNDAY AFTERNOON. THERE IS A MARGINAL
THREAT FOR WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH AND SMALL HAIL WITH ANY
THUNDERSTORMS THAT DEVELOP. THE MOST LIKELY AREA FOR STRONGER
THUNDERSTORMS IS NORTHEAST OF A LINE FROM STAFFORD TO HEALY.
