CENTRAL...SOUTHWEST AND WEST CENTRAL KANSAS.

NO HAZARDOUS WEATHER IS EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

DAYS 2-7 DISCUSSION

A STRONG STORM SYSTEM WILL PASS NORTH OF SW KANSAS ON SUNDAY. THE
PRIMARY RISK WILL BE VERY STRONG SW WINDS, ESPECIALLY SUNDAY
AFTERNOON, WHEN GUSTS OF 45 TO 55 MPH ARE EXPECTED. THE STRONGEST
WINDS ARE EXPECTED ON THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF THE WESTERN ZONES,
WHERE THE WIND WILL CREATE AREAS OF BLOWING DUST AND AN ENHANCED
RISK OF WILDFIRE SPREAD.

MOISTURE RETURN IS EXPECTED TO BE SUFFICIENT TO PRODUCE SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS SUNDAY, MOST NUMEROUS ACROSS THE
EASTERN AND NORTHEASTERN ZONES. SOME STORMS MAY BE STRONG TO
LOCALLY SEVERE NORTHEAST OF A DIGHTON-DODGE CITY-MEDICINE LODGE
LINE. THE PRIMARY THREAT FROM ANY STORM WILL BE WIND GUSTS OF
60-70 MPH.
