This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...south
central...southwest and west central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Day 1 Discussion

Fire weather conditions will reach near-critical across portions of
far southwest Kansas this afternoon as temperatures warm into the 70s
and humidity bottoms out to around 15 percent. Winds will be around 15
mph for the most part this afternoon.

* Non-thunderstorm wind: Limited risk
* Fire weather: Elevated risk

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Days 2-7 Discussion
-------------------
Fire weather risk will be elevated to critical at times through the
period. The exception will be Friday when a colder airmass will be
in place. As temperatures start to warm back up over the weekend,
the fire weather risk will ramp back up again, especially Sunday, when
southwest winds of 25-30 mph are forecast with very low humidity.
