The National Weather Service in Dodge City has issued a Red Flag
Warning For wind and low relative humidity...which is in effect
from 1 PM CST /noon MST/ to 8 PM CST /7 PM MST/ Thursday. The
Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds...Southwest to west at 20 to 30 mph. Gusts near 40 mph.
  Strongest winds expected along the Oklahoma border.

* Relative Humidity...as low as 10 percent.

* Impacts...Any fires that start will have extreme fire behavior
  and spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. The
  most critical conditions, favorable for rapid wildfire spread,
  are expected along the Oklahoma border Thursday afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
