. Very heavy rainfall in southwest Ellis County has resulted in a rapid rise on the Smoky Hill River
near Schoenchen. The river will crest below flood stage around noon and will fall quickly this
afternoon. Rapid rises can be expected along the Smoky Hill River downstream from Schoenchen
tonight and tomorrow as the runoff progresses down the river channel.

For the Smoky Hill River Below Schoenchen 2e, the latest stage was 9.4
feet at 10 AM Thursday.

Continue to monitor noaa all hazards radio or commercial broadcasts
for further information.
