REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Mostly clear skies dominated western Kansas through mid afternoon,
when thin high clouds moved in from the west. Temperatures were
much cooler today with highs only reaching the low 30s to low 40s
from eastern Colorado through eastern Kansas.
Northwest flow aloft will persist through the rest of the weekend,
as upper level high pressure ridging builds inland from the West
Coast. A surface warm front will push across the Northern Plains
by mid day tomorrow, while low pressure troughing develops to the
lee of the Rockies, and the high pressure in the Central Plains
moves off to the east. Little significant weather is expected into
the first of the week, with temperatures warming tomorrow.
Lows tonight will drop into the mid teens to around 20 from
eastern Colorado through western Kansas, with low to mid 20s in
central and eastern Kansas. Highs tomorrow will warm into the low
to mid 50s from eastern Colorado through central Kansas, with
upper 40s to low 50s in eastern Kansas.
