A SLIGHTLY COOLER DAY PREVAILED ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS. HIGHS
RANGED FROM 94 DEGREES AT GARDEN CITY TO 99 DEGREES AT LIBERAL.
MOST OF THE TWENTY FOUR HOUR PRECIPITATION FELL LAST NIGHT AND
INTO THE EARLY MORNING HOURS. SOME VALUES WERE 0.09 INCHES AT
DODGE CITY, 0.39 INCHES AT GARDEN CITY, AND 0.56 INCHES AT HAYS.
MOST OF TODAY WAS DRY AND THIS EVENING WAS PRECIPITATION-FREE AS
WELL. SOME STORMS TRIED TO DEVELOP NEAR THE COLORADO KANSAS
BORDER, HOWEVER, THIS ACTIVITY STRUGGLED.

FOR TOMORROW, HIGHS ARE EXPECTED TO BE IN THE 90S. A FEW 100S
CANNOT BE RULED OUT ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS. AN UPPER LEVEL
DISTURBANCE WILL MOVE ACROSS THE NORTHERN PLAINS AND THIS FEATURE
WILL USHER IN THE PASSAGE OF A FRONT. THIS FRONT, HOWEVER, WILL
NOT HAVE MUCH THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY ASSOCIATED WITH IT UNTIL THE
EVENING. SOME STORMS COULD EVENTUALLY DEVELOP.
