Clear skies covered Western Kansas and Eastern Colorado during the
overnight hours. Winds were gusty out of the north with peak winds reaching
up to 40mph overnight. Temperatures dropped into the mid to upper
30s across Western Kansas.

Zonal flow will continue across the Central Plains through the
evening hours as a strong upper level trough moves into the four
Corners Region. Skies are expected to remain mostly clear through
the day with some high cirrus clouds during the afternoon. Winds
will begin to weaken and shift to a westerly direction today.

High temperatures today will climb into the upper 40s to low 50s
across Eastern Colorado and Western Kansas with the central
portion of the state reaching into the low to mid 50s. Lows
tonight will only slip into 20s and lower 30s across Eastern
Colorado and Western Kansas.
