REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Thunderstorms forming in eastern Colorado moved southeast across
southwest Kansas this morning. There were a number of rain reports
received. These rain totals varied across southwest Kansas with the
peak reports of around an inch in Dodge City, and 1.91 inches 6
miles northwest of Liberal. The morning low temperatures varied from
the mid 50s to the mid 60s in western Kansas.
An upper level disturbance across Montana and Wyoming will move
through the Central Plains early Thursday morning. At the surface, a
trough of low pressure will remain in eastern Colorado today and
Thursday. Additional showers and thunderstorms remain possible from
eastern Colorado across the Central Plains today and Thursday.
Afternoon high temperatures will be mild and overnight low
temperatures are expected on the chill side.
Afternoon high temperatures Today will range from the mid 60s in
parts of southwest Kansas, to the mid 70s in eastern Nebraska and
much of eastern Kansas, to the upper 80s in southern Oklahoma.
Overnight low temperatures are expected to range from the lower 50s
in Nebraska to the mid 50s in northwest Kansas, southeast Colorado
as well as in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
