REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

A HIGH PRESSURE WAS PRESENT ACROSS THE WESTERN KANSAS, BRINGING
MOSTLY CLEAR SKIES AND RELATIVELY COOL TEMPERATURES THROUGHOUT THE
CENTRAL PLAINS. HIGH TEMPERATURES VARIED FROM THE UPPER 60S TO THE
LOWER 70S ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS.

AN UPPER LEVEL LOW PRESSURE TROUGH WILL BE MOVING FROM CALIFORNIA
INTO THE UTAH REGION OVERNIGHT, WHILE A SURFACE HIGH PRESSURE
REMAINS ACROSS THE CENTRAL AND NORTHERN PLAINS. AS THE LOW PRESSURE
BEGINS TO MOVE CLOSER TO THE WESTERN KANSAS REGION, WE CAN EXPECT A
BROAD AREA OF RAIN ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS FROM THE EARLY MORNING
TOMORROW THROUGH TOMORROW NIGHT. SOME THUNDERSTORM ACTIVITY IS
POSSIBLE, BUT THE RISK FOR SEVERE WEATHER IS MINIMAL. TEMPERATURES
WILL REMAIN LOWER THAN AVERAGE THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE WEEK.

LOW TEMPERATURES TONIGHT WILL DROP INTO THE UPPER 40S IN WESTERN
KANSAS AND TEMPERATURES IN THE MID TO LOWER 40S IN EASTERN KANSAS.
HIGH TEMPERATURES TOMORROW WILL STAY COOL WITH THE HIGHS IN THE
LOWER TO MID 50S IN WESTERN KANSAS, AND INCREASING TO THE MID 60S
IN EASTERN KANSAS.
