REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

1110 AM CDT MON OCT 12 2015 /1010 AM MDT MON OCT 12 2015/
A fast moving cold front moved across Kansas during the overnight
hours and was well into west Texas and Oklahoma by mid morning.
Winds were gusty out of the north at 20 to 30 mph for a short
time before subsiding. Skies were clear with low temperatures
ranging from 43 degrees at Goodland to 59 degrees at Pratt.
A surface ridge of high pressure from the Great Basin to the
Central Plains will weaken later this afternoon and tonight as an
upper trough moves from the western Great Lake and the midwest
into the eastern portion of the country. Temperatures will be
much cooler this afternoon across the Central Plains. Skies will
be clear through tonight with warmer tempratures returning on
High temperatures this afternoon will range from the lower 70s
across much of Nebraska to the lower 80s in central Oklahoma. Lows
tonight will range from the mid 30s in western Nebraska to the
upper 40s in parts of the Texas Panhandle.
