Skies became mostly sunny across western Kansas this afternoon.
High temperatures were mild with readings in the mid to upper 80s.

Upper level high pressure will remain over the southwestern part of
the country through Tuesday and will ridge into the Central Plains.
A surface trough is expected to strengthen in the Western High
Plains. A weak frontal boundary will extend from the Texas Panhandle
to central Oklahoma tonight. Scattered thunderstorms will be
possible tonight and Tuesday mainly from the Southern High Plains
into central Oklahoma. Some fog may develop late tonight in parts
of Kansas. Temperatures will be a little warmer on Tuesday across
most of the Central Plains. Widely scattered thunderstorms may
develop later in the afternoon from eastern Colorado into parts of
western Nebraska.

Low temperatures tonight will range from the lower 60s in the
Nebraska Panhandle to the mid 70s in central Oklahoma. Highs
Tuesday will be mainly in the 90 to 95 degree range.
