REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY FOR WESTERN KANSAS

Above normal temperatures and high clouds were encountered across
the High Plains this afternoon and evening. A very brief
thunderstorm developed across extreme southwestern Kansas earlier
this afternoon. Highs today ranged from the mid 90s in eastern
Colorado to the lower 100s in southwestern Nebraska and northern
Oklahoma.

Upper level ridging will continue to build into the Central
Rockies this afternoon and evening. Meanwhile, surface troughing
will persist on the lee side of the Rockies through Friday
morning. The dry and quiet weather pattern will continue through
the end of the week.

Lows tonight will range from the upper 50s in eastern Colorado to
the lower 70s in northern Oklahoma. Highs on Thursday will climb
into the lower and mid 90s across the Central Plains.
